Day 88: Storms on the Horizon

The lake fill on Northwestern’s campus is really the best place to watch the weather change.  Tuesday was a stormy day that went from bright, sunny and hot to thunderstorms and cold.  Evanston got rain, but missed some of the worst storms.  You could see them rolling in on the horizon to the north and south though.  I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – I love the way it looks when it’s stormy outside.

I also learned that there is a word for people like me, who love rainy days.

pluviophile:  (n) a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days

I’m happy to be a pluviophile.
