Well, okay it was in the mid-50s, but it was somewhat sunny and felt amazing. I took advantage of the extra hour of day light and walked out to Promontory Point, a great park a couple blocks from my apartment. To get out to the Point, you have to walk under Lake Shore Drive and the park sticks out into Lake Michigan, making it one of the only places in Chicago that gives you a view of the entire downtown skyline. It also connects to the lakefront trail that runs from the south side beaches all the way up to the downtown area. Everything was super wet today because of the snow melt, but it was lovely to grab an iced coffee from Starbucks and walk along the lake front trail for a few blocks. More spring-like days please!
